Raritan Introduces Virtual Appliance Version of CommandCenter Secure Gateway for Centralized, Secure Access and Control of IT Equipment

(November 15, 2010)—Raritan announced today a virtual version of its CommandCenter® Secure Gateway (CC-SG) appliance that provides centralized, secure access to IT equipment to help data centers remotely diagnose and resolve IT equipment issues quickly and reduce server management costs. 

Leveraging VMware technology, the new virtual management solution delivers all the functionalities of CommandCenter Secure Gateway’s hardware-based appliances that enable IT administrators to manage entire IT infrastructures using a single Web-browser interface.  The comprehensive solution serves as a centralized gateway for managing both virtual and physical servers, embedded service processors, serial devices (such as routers, firewalls and Ethernet switches) and power management devices.

Raritan Power IQ® iPhone App for Managing Data Centers Now Available on iTunes® App Store

SOMERSET, N.J. (November 10, 2010) – Raritan today introduced Power IQ® iPhone app—the first application available at the Apple iTunes Store that helps data center and lab managers “on the go” quickly view real-time power load (watts and amps) and perform secure remote power control on any server or rack power distribution unit. 

The free Raritan Power IQ mobile app, which can be downloaded from the Apple iTunes online store, provides rack power management capabilities from anywhere.  From an iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch, the Raritan iPhone app enables users to easily access data center power information gathered by Raritan’s vendor-agnostic Power IQ energy management software and take corrective action, such as turning off a server, if necessary.

Raritan Signs Distribution Agreement with Graybar

SOMERSET, N.J., (October 25, 2010)—Raritan, an innovator of power and IT infrastructure management solutions for data centers of all sizes, announced today that Graybar, a leading distributor of electrical, communications and data networking products and provider of related supply chain management and logistics services, is now an authorized distributor of Raritan’s power management and KVM switch products. 

Raritan’s solutions help customers manage their data center resources, including IT infrastructure equipment and the energy that powers it.  Graybar will sell Raritan’s intelligent rack power distribution units (PDUs) and environmental sensors, as well as Power IQ® energy management software that helps track, analyze and generate reports on rack capacity, energy usage and thermal analytics.  Graybar will also distribute Raritan’s extensive KVM portfolio for managing servers and other IT equipment securely from a single dashboard.
