The Dominion KX III G2 is Raritan's flagship, enterprise-class KVM-over-IP switch that provides up to 8 users with BIOS-level, remote management of up to 64 servers in a single switch. With industry-leading video performance, security, and reliability, the Dominion KX III G2 outperforms the competition. With standard features such as DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort/USB-C digital video, VGA analog video, virtual media, audio, smart card/CAC with smart card/CAC/PKI login to KX III G2, and mobile access, the Dominion KX III G2 is suitable for both general computer and dynamic broadcast applications. Manage up to 8 serial devices with the DSAM modules. KX III G2 Client SDK and API to integrate and automate.

KX III G2 is ideal for Server Rooms, Healthcare IT environments, Test Labs, and the Largest Enterprise Data Centers. It offers high performance, Java-free, remote management of servers, workstations and serial devices. Deploy individually, or with Raritan’s CommandCenter Secure Gateway.

For broadcast, control rooms, labs and studios, the KX III and KX IV Enhanced User Station provide high-performance, KVM-over-IP access in two self-contained, low-maintenance appliances. The productive user interface supports multiple 1080p and 4K video sessions at 30 FPS with low latency, simultaneous access to multiple servers, three or four monitors, audio, and virtual media. The ultra performance Dominion KX IV Enhanced User Station supports the KX IV 101, 4K video resolution, up to 4 monitors, and has 3 times the performance of the KX III Enhanced User Station. The Enhanced User Stations integrate with CommandCenter to support centralized login and access for large deployments.

The KX III G2 Software Development Kit (SDK) and Application Programming Interface (API) are available free of charge for automation purposes and custom application development. This includes the Management API, which provides access to control and manage the device features.

Remote BIOS-Level Access

Each Dominion KX III G2 comes equipped with virtual media to enable remote tasks, such as software installation, remote booting, and diagnostics, using the widest variety of CD, DVD, USB, internal and remote drives and images. Java-free support of virtual media and audio.

Military Grade Security

With Raritan’s Dominion KX III G2, you can meet government and military security mandates, including: AES & FIPS 140-2 encryption, Common Access Card (CAC), two-factor and IEEE 802.1X authentication, and IPv6 networking. New secure, two-factor authentication to log in to the Dominion KX III G2 with SmartCard, CAC and PKI certificates.

Dominion KX III G2 has three software-based KVM-over-IP Clients: AKC, HKC, and VKC. Users interact with these Clients to access and control remote servers. AKC is a full-featured, Java-free Client, used on Windows. HKC is our Java-free, browser-based Client for Linux, iOS and Mac platforms. VKC is the original full-featured, Java-based KVM Client for all platforms.

The KX III Enhanced User Station provides high-performance, KVM-over-IP access for broadcast, control rooms and studios. This Linux-based, hardware appliance supports two 1080p video sessions at 30FPS with 50ms latency.

Computer Interface Module (CIM) for Dominion KX III G2


A CIM is a “server dongle” that connects a PC, server or workstation to the KX III via a Cat5/6 cable. There are multiple types of CIMs to support the different types of computer ports (USB, PS/2, VGA, HDMI, DVI, DisplayPort, serial) and to perform features such as virtual media. True Serial Access with Dominion Serial Access Modules (DSAM)


With the Dominion Serial Access Modules (DSAM), users can connect to up to 8 serial devices with Java-free, serial access. The 2 and 4 port DSAM modules connect to the KX III G2 switch’s USB ports. They provide “true serial access” with copy and paste capability for up to 8 simultaneous connections to serial devices like LAN switches, routers and Linux/Unix servers.True Serial Access with Dominion Serial Access Modules

CommandCenter Centralized Access & Management


Dominion KVM and Serial appliances, including SX II, KX III, KX III G2, KSX II and KX2-101-V2, integrate with Raritan’s CommandCenter Secure Gateway. With the CommandCenter management system, administrators can manage multiple Raritan devices. Users can access hundreds or thousands of computer and networking devices from a single, integrated system via PC, laptop or the KX III Enhanced User Station. If you own five or more Raritan appliances, you should consider CommandCenter for centralized management and access.
