When specifying a rack PDU, the input power infrastructure or cabinet power density requirements may be unknown or constantly changing. Traditionally, one set of PDUs would be purchased to best match the power requirements. Then, when input power changes occur, newer PDU models would be swapped in to accommodate those changes.

Instead of swapping the entire PDU, what if you could just swap the PDU’s input cord to match the new input power infrastructure?

This solution uses a Raritan PX4 Rack PDU equipped with a Universal Input (UPDU), a one-size-fits-all universal infeed option that accommodates both single-phase and three-phase Legrand Universal Input cord options for the same rack PDU.
