Title: DCIM, what is it and how is it helping data center managers today in improving operational and energy efficiencies?

Abstract: There has been a lot of buzz, hype, and confusion around DCIM (data center infrastructure management) software that has been created by both vendors and industry analysts in the past year. In this session you will learn how data center managers like yourself are actually filtering out this hype and confusion and are using DCIM to drive data center operational excellence. Once such scenario is to automate existing manual processes for managing moves, adds and changes (MACs). Another scenario enables managers to make better informed decisions using intelligence built into DCIM to reduce cooling energy costs. Both examples will be supported with real-world ROIs.
