This role is responsible for managing multiple projects delivering hardware, firmware and software enhancements and solutions. This person controls planning and execution of the project’s activities and resources to ensure that established cost, time, and quality goals are met.  Reports status to stakeholders and mitigates project/program risks.


Main Interface: Internal – various engineering teams, product management, systems test, tech support/customer service and operations staff.

Main Job Duties:

  • Manages project/program planning and execution, stage-gate approvals, and deployment planning meetings.
  • Identifies and manages the delivery of all project deliverables with team members.
  • Manages all changes to the project (e.g. Scope, Schedule).
  • Establishes and manages project metrics.
  • Holds project status update meetings, communicates status regularly and is the point of contact to inside teams.
  • Managing requests including negotiating and establishing schedules, tracking and communicating progress and managing issues
  • Performs other similar and related duties as required.


Requires strong organizational and time management skills, close attention to detail and be able to effectively handle multiple priorities.

Must possess excellent project management skills, including demonstrated ability to develop and manage to a project plan, establish priorities, work to deadlines and control a number of projects at various stages of work.

Strong computer skills, proficient with word processing, spreadsheet and presentation software, e-mail and meeting management software.  Ability to use internet and web based resources efficiently and effectively.

Must be highly collaborative and able to work in a team based environment in a global environment with geographically distributed teams. Some international travel may be required.

Must possess strong analytical skills and the ability to identify trends and establish proactive corrective actions.  Must be able to apply principles of logical or scientific thinking to a wide range of intellectual and practical problems.

Must have excellent verbal and written communications skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of the organization. Must be an effective listener, able to maintain focus extract necessary information and validate understanding of the information. 

Able to create effective reports, presentations and business correspondence.

Strong leadership skills, with demonstrated ability to supervise and manage others. Provide leadership, guidance, development and motivation to staff to achieve superior results and accomplish overall business objectives.


Knowledge of project management methodology. 

Must understand and have experience in all aspects of the new product development lifecycle; understand product life cycle overall.

Experience leading cross-functional efforts and managing multiple projects effectively, program management experience desired

Exhibits strong cultural sensitivity necessary for good communication and building effective partnerships with local and foreign suppliers/developers

Strong background in planning, implementing and managing change


BS in engineering or equal technical education, licensed professional engineer. PMP certification preferred.


  • Experience in a project management/lead engineer role.
  • Proven experience with managing projects through all aspects of a project life cycle.
