At Cisco Live, Raritan Showcases Intelligent Infrastructure Management Solutions for Cisco UCS

Stop by Raritan’s Cisco Live Booth #3014.  We will be demonstrating our newest and greatest solutions – from intelligent rack PDUs to DCIM software – that support high-performance data centers, such as those built on Cisco’s Unified Computing System (UCS) blade servers, Cisco Nexus switches, and other components of the Cisco data center platform. 

Raritan, a member of Cisco’s Developer Network, will be participating in Cisco Live, Cisco’s annual IT and communications conference, in San Diego.   

We will be showing how:

Raritan’s intelligent rack power distribution units (iPDU) support the high-power requirements of Cisco’s blade servers.  Raritan’s three-phase 60A iPDU models can deliver up to 22kVA and support temperature and humidity sensors that monitor blade server inlet temperatures.  Organizations, for example, can use the detailed power information and iPDU’s remote management controls to set and implement dynamic power policies -- such as scheduling equipment to turn off when not in use or creating “follow the moon” shut-down strategies -- for significant energy savings.  In fact, Cisco’s labs are using Raritan iPDUs to save millions in electricity costs per year.

Rartian DCIM Monitoring Software analyzes the iPDU-gathered information and visually provides reports and charts on energy consumption and environmental conditions – such as peak load, energy cost, temperature trends and carbon footprint.   Raritan DCIM’s Web Services APIs enable customers to integrate DCIM with their existing enterprise systems, such as Cisco’s eITMS, as well as build custom scripts.

Raritan DCIM Operations Software tracks and manages the cable (fiber and copper) infrastructure topology in Cisco-equipped data centers.  Designed to improve capacity planning and utilization, and drive costs out of data center operations, Raritan’s DCIM software manages data centers assets, as well as their physical and logical relationships, through a single pane of glass.  The software helps track a data center’s networking assets, as well as its connectivity—from the switch to the patch panel to the servers.  Raritan DCIM’s extensive visual library includes Visio stencils icons of Cisco equipment, with front and rear views. 

Raritan Dominion® SX serial console provides remote console server access for Cisco equipment, enabling IT professionals to remotely access, monitor and control all their serial devices securely. 

Attendees of Cisco Live will get a sneak peak of the next generation of the Dominion SX and how it provides one point of control to manage a wide range of IT equipment -- including Cisco’s routers, switches, blade servers -- and Raritan PDUs.

Raritan Intelligent Rack Transfer Switch helps keep data center equipment operating through power failures.  When the new switch senses power loss, it provides fast and seamless power load transfers from one power source to another without interrupting operations.  The switch is targeted at cloud computing infrastructures and data center racks filled with one-power-supply devices.
