Legrand wins Lebanese ISF tender with local partner
ISF praise the ease of installation of the Legrand Data Center Solutions products compared to other brands: “Legrand has become an important player in the field of complete data center solutions. The challenge was to provide the best service and commissioning. This went smoothly and successfully – with a minimal need for technical support – resulting in an ongoing partnership with DCS SAL and a very satisfied customer.”
CEO Datacenter.com explains why Nexpand was the best choice
“The people at Legrand really had to convince us; we certainly didn’t make things easy for them. But it’s a solid company with production in Europe, which means good lead times – and that’s crucial for us. They listened carefully to our wants and needs, and custom-built the racks in line with our requirements. As the first customer for this solution we’re also serving as a pilot project to some extent, but we always give lots of feedback to all our suppliers so that we can improve together. The implementation went fine apart from a couple of mini teething troubles, and the platform is now fully up and running.”
Yahoo! Japan Improves Service Infrastructure Performance with Raritan Intelligent PDUs
Yahoo! JAPAN introduced the Raritan’s PX intelligent rack power distribution units (iPDUs) to its data centers to monitor real-time power consumption, and so decisions could quickly be made on where new servers and racks should be added to support scaling. Real-time energy monitoring also helps the company keep an eye on the health of its data centers.
Cisco’s Global Lab Energy Management Program
Networking equipment supplier Cisco Systems says it is on track to save at least $9M per year in energy costs by employing a comprehensive energy-management program, including Raritan intelligent PDUs and Power IQ Software, in more than 1,600 of its labs worldwide.
Real-Time Energy Optimization and Best Practices In a Mission-Critical Data Center
With compute loads – and operating costs – on the rise, eBay established a four-year data center plan with an ambitious goal: To cut power costs in half, double compute performance while gaining greater operational agility and increased reliability. They succeeded… with Raritan’s help.
Raritan’s Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solution manages British Airways’ 6 Data Centers
British Airways is using dcTrack across its data center infrastructure to manage server, power and network connectivity changes, provide a work order capability to formally control upgrades and manage capacity planning across their 6 locations. The integration of active power monitoring is on-going.
J.R. Simplot Data Center Refurbishment
As part of a data center refurbishment, the J.R. Simplot data center management team wanted to improve energy efficiency to meet corporate green initiatives. They also wanted to increase IT rack density, be better able to troubleshoot equipment and put in systems to manage potential risks. To improve energy efficiency and provide more power to IT racks they converted from 120 to 240 volt AC single-phase power. They also installed energy management software and intelligent rack PDUs with outlet-level power monitoring to add remote energy management, power monitoring of individual devices, environmental monitoring and sophisticated and accurate power usage reports and analytics.
DCIM Power Solution Helps British Cloud and Networking Provider Exponential-e enhance its SLAs and Gain Competitive Edge
Exponential-e needed a responsive and efficient way to monitor the health of the entire data centre and the individual equipment cabinets used by its enterprise customers.

Raritan's DCIM Energy and Environmental Monitoring Is Just the Start for F5's Product Development Lab
F5 Network's main product development lab houses the work of 25 separate technology teams and provides access to more than 300 developers and testers, who constantly test and deploy new software services while shuffling equipment in and out of the lab. But when the lab began running out of power and cooling capacity, it decided Raritan's DCIM energy monitoring software, Power IQ, and environmental sensors were best suited to address the challenges they were facing. This deployment of Raritan's software and environmental sensors has produced a marked reduction in energy consumption and an increase in total capacity.
