How One of Australia’s Leading Telecom Providers Keeps Tab on Data Centre Energy Usage and Power Capacity
Thousands of businesses and organizations rely on the data centre services of Commander, one of Australia's leading telecom providers. To search for a better way to measure and track how energy is being used in the data centre, Commander adopted Raritan's Branch Circuit Monitors and DCIM monitoring software Power IQ. The Raritan solution allows Commander options to provide customers with real-time energy usage, and help with energy conservations efforts in the future.
Raritan's DCIM Energy and Environmental Monitoring Is Just the Start for F5's Product Development Lab
F5 Network's main product development lab houses the work of 25 separate technology teams and provides access to more than 300 developers and testers, who constantly test and deploy new software services while shuffling equipment in and out of the lab. But when the lab began running out of power and cooling capacity, it decided Raritan's DCIM energy monitoring software, Power IQ, and environmental sensors were best suited to address the challenges they were facing. This deployment of Raritan's software and environmental sensors has produced a marked reduction in energy consumption and an increase in total capacity.
Choice Hotels Goes 'Lights Out' with Remote Power Management and Server Access from Raritan
Choice Hotels International, one of the largest lodging companies in the word, moves its global reservation system to a 'lights-out' colocation center and uses Raritan iPDUs, environmental sensors, DCIM, and KVM-over-IP to monitor mission critical services and manage its servers and data center infrastructure.
UF Health Shands Saves 50% in Asset Tracking Efficiency with Raritan’s Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) dcTrack® Solution
UF Health Shands needed a way in which to track data center assets, specifically identifying the exact location of every server, UPS, and device, across multiple data centers – three of which were new. Additionally, the IT team wanted to improve the energy efficiency within the data centers. Working together with Raritan, Shands has moved from an inflexible tracking method of Excel spreadsheets and Visio floor plans to Raritan’s dcTrack DCIM solution, and now enjoys a 50% increase in asset tracking efficiency.
International Law Firm Sets Out to Improve Branch Office Server Management
Duane Morris squeezed every possible benefit out of its new data center by installing Dominion KX KVM-over-IP, Paragon II Cat5 KVM, and CommandCenter Secure Gateway. Results: secure, lights-out operation, anytime, anywhere access with a single-sign on, and an analog KVM backup that allowed IT staff to work on servers even during scheduled network outages.
Raritan’s Data Center Infrastructure Management (DCIM) solution manages British Airways’ 6 Data Centers
British Airways is using dcTrack across its data center infrastructure to manage server, power and network connectivity changes, provide a work order capability to formally control upgrades and manage capacity planning across their 6 locations. The integration of active power monitoring is on-going.
