Raritan's dcTrack™ wins a SearchDataCenter.com "Product of the Year" award in the Data Center Infrastructure category.
The "Product of the Year" silver award was presented to our dcTrack software for its unique ability to manage data center facilities, networking and IT systems assets and their interrelationships.
The judges from SearchDataCenter.com selected dcTrack 2.2 from a number of products in the Data Center Infrastructure category, which encompasses backup power, data center cooling and infrastructure support products.
In presenting the award to Raritan, SearchDataCenter.com said: "Raritan's dcTrack 2.2 gives data center managers visibility to all domains in the data center down to very granular levels. dcTrack can provision new systems and servers accurately and reliably. For example, when a new server is about to be added into the data center, before physically installing it, IT professionals can plan this activity in dcTrack by configuring the server in dcTrack, assigning it to available rack space, connecting to available structured cabling patch panels, connecting it to available network resources, and, most importantly, connecting to available power resources. dcTrack can verify not only that the power socket is available, but also that power is available at every step in the power chain up to the UPS or the source feeding the power into the data center. Once you are able to pass through the planning stage, you can begin physically installing and connecting the server by using the built-in change management system to issue requests and work orders."

Power IQ™ offers centralized energy and environmental reporting of your Raritan, APC®, Server Technology, Geist and other rack PDUs.
To improve operational and energy efficiency in data centers, we've added systems integration capabilities to our Power IQ data center energy management software and support for more data center equipment. This means Power IQ now helps you track and analyze energy usage down to the individual IT device level of more rack PDUs - plus implement energy-saving actions - all from a central power console.
Our new Web Services APIs - Power Control API and Configuration Item API - enable you to integrate Power IQ with your existing systems, such as HP Asset Management, as well as build custom tools.
Our new release also supports deployments of up to 5,000 rack PDUs, making it the most scalable energy management virtual appliance on the market.
In addition to collecting data from Dominion® PX™ environmental sensors for analyzing rack temperature and humidity information, Power IQ now collects data from Server Technology rack PDU probes and NetBotz. Power IQ also gathers power information on IT equipment connected to "not-so-smart" PDUs using Raritan's Dominion PX-3000 inline power meters, which are designed to be used in conjunction with dumb rack PDUs or stand-alone equipment to provide comprehensive strip-level metering on all types of IT equipment.

Manage your data center more efficiently with new CommandCenter® Secure Gateway features.
CommandCenter Secure Gateway (CC-SG) now allows you to manage your IT equipment - including Raritan and third-party power distribution units (PDUs) - from a single resource management portal.
Through integration with Power IQ™, CC-SG enables you to control the power of nodes that are connected to Raritan Dominion® PX™ intelligent rack PDUs and third-party PDUs being managed by Power IQ - without leaving the CC-SG client. Ethernet-enabled rack PDUs from APC®, Avocent®, Cyber Switching®, Geist, HP, MRV and Server Technology are also supported.
Other new features in CC-SG include a KVM client based on Microsoft® .NET technology - designed to meet the needs of customers that prefer a complete Windows® architecture - and Windows 7 support.

Introducing the first KVM-over-IP switch with an embedded FIPS 140-2-certified encryption module.
Raritan is proud to announce the first digital KVM switch with an embedded Federal Information Processing Standards (FIPS) 140-2-certified encryption module, making it the most secure KVM-over-IP switch in the industry.
Designed to protect sensitive information in data centers, the FIPS 140-2 Cryptographic Module in the Dominion® KX II encrypts KVM session traffic consisting of video, keyboard, mouse, virtual media and smart card data.
The Cryptographic Module used by the Dominion KX II has been validated by the Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) for FIPS 140-2 Security Requirements for Cryptographic Modules, and other FIPS cryptography-based standards. And it's available on all Dominion KX II enterprise models with Release 2.2 firmware.
