Raritan's Dominion® PX Intelligent Remote Power Management Solutions help IT administrators improve uptime and staff productivity, save money and improve utilization of power resources.

With the Dominion PX:

Emergencies can be resolved with remote serial and TCP/IP access to outlet-level switching, improving MTTR.
Capacity planning is simplified with unit-level and outlet-level power utilization information.
Staff can gather detailed power information to improve uptime and productivity.
Travel costs and time can be saved with remote power cycling and monitoring.

Information provided by the Dominion PX — displayed at the strip via an LED display, and remotely through a Web browser — can be used to improve capacity planning through power consumption information for both the PDU and individual receptacle. Precise, outlet-level access and control allows users to reboot attached devices.

Whether used alone or integrated with other Raritan solutions, the intelligent Dominion PX offers secure access with 256-bit AES encryption and strong passwords. Dominion PX supports advanced authorization options including outlet-level permissions and LDAP/S, RADIUS and Active Directory®. Flexible management interfaces support HTTP, HTTPS, IPMI, SMASH-CLP, SSH, Telnet and SNMP, as well as user-configurable, outlet-level delays for power sequencing.

Feature	Benefits
Power sequencing (User Defined)	In the event the Dominion PX is reset, the outlets will be turned on at specified intervals to prevent tripped circuit breakers from surges. The user can define these intervals.
Receptacle status retention	In the event of a power outage, power is restored only to those receptacles that were on before the outage.
Power-metering	The Dominion PX enables users to measure power at the outlet level (RMS, apparent power) providing an accurate view of power consumption at a server or PDU level.
Flexible Remote Access Options	Users can access the Dominion PX through a variety of access protocols for switching, metering, data collection and monitoring: Convenient HTML GUI Server Management Interface (IPMI) Network Management Interface (SNMP) UNIX-like Console interface via serial connector or telnet/SSH (compatible with SMASH server management )
IPMI and SMASH-CLP	The first and only PDU in the world that supports industry management standards: the Intelligent Platform Management Interface (IPMI) and the Distributed Management Task Force’s (DMTF) Systems Management Architecture for Server Hardware (SMASH) CLP, providing a uniform way to manage both servers and the PDU.
Up to 256-bit AES encryption	The Dominion PX is the first and only PDU in the industry that supports 256-bit AES encryption.
User-rights per outlet	An administrator can assign permissions on an outlet level to prevent unauthorized access.

Dominion PX FAQ
What is Dominion PX (DPX)?	The Dominion PX is an intelligent Power Distribution Unit (PDU) that allows users to reboot remote servers and network devices and monitor power. It can be used as a standalone power distribution unit, or integrated with Raritan’s KVM switches and Secure Console Servers.
In what form factors can I get the Dominion PX?	The Dominion PX comes in two form factors: Horizontal rack mount – 1U, 2U models Vertical mount – Zero U models
Does the Dominion PX have any fuses?	No. There are no fuses in a Dominion PX; instead circuit-breakers are used for branch circuit protection, when required.
Does the Dominion PX support outlet level monitoring?	Yes. Outlet monitoring is supported when using the HTML interface (via the Ethernet port), and via the Command Line Interface (CLI), or IPMI.
Does the Dominion PX support a full-featured Command Line Interface (CLI) for advanced applications using external scripting?	Yes. The SMASH-CLP-based CLI allows management and configuration of very granular features, like per-outlet IP ACL.
What level of encryption does the Dominion PX support?	The Dominion PX hardware supports up to 256-bit AES encryption.
What Authentication mechanisms does the Dominion PX support?	Local database, RADIUS, LDAP/S and Active Directory.
