CommandCenter® Secure Gateway (CC-SG) is a management appliance that provides unified, secure, browser-based access to KVM, serial and power control devices in data centers. Compatible with Raritan Dominion® KXII/SX/KSXI/KX II-101, Paragon® II, IP-Reach®, Dominion PX intelligent power distribution units and CommandCenter NOC, CC-SG provides centralized policy and security management of users and devices connected to:

Raritan remote access and power management products
Embedded solutions like HP iLO/iLO2, Dell RAC 4, IBM RSA II and IPMI enabled servers
In-band access methods such as RDP, VNC, SSH and web browser

CC-SG provides a secure, powerful, effective and user-friendly management solution with features like high-bit AES encryption, Universal Virtual Media support for control, view only and deny access policies, flexible authentication options (Active Directory®, LDAP, RADIUS and TACACS+), streamlined firmware upgrades, customizable views, comprehensive reporting, Syslog and SNMP traps.

CC-SG aggregates console access to devices in multiple local or remote data centers through its HTML Access Client interface, which allows users to easily locate managed equipment with customizable views including favorites and recently accessed nodes. Plus, CC-SG has a consolidated audit trail with detailed activity reports.

Personal View Customization Using Node Groups	For enterprise customers or large distributed IT environments where multiple groups exist, users can easily find the server or IT equipment they need to access. By easily creating custom views and modifying them on the fly CC-SG helps in making IT staff work easier and allows them to spend time focusing on problem resolution rather than searching for servers.
Support for Dominion® KX II, KSX II, and KX II-101	Provides seamless integration for access through different Dominion devices such as KX, KX II, KSX I and KX II-101 along with support for the Universal Virtual Media™ and Absolute Mouse Synchronization™ technologies available in Dominion KX II, KSX II and KX II-101.
Virtual Media	Supports Virtual Media technologies that make it easy to remotely reimage (apply a new OS), boot or upgrade target devices. Allows control of Virtual Media access policies with three authorization options: deny, control and view only.
Support for AES Encryption	Provides increased security by ensuring that data is encrypted using AES. CC-SG can be setup to require AES using 128-bit key encryption between the client system and CC-SG. Also supports communication between CC-SG and Dominion devices for environments that require end-to-end AES encryption, including all client communications to CC-SG, Dominion devices and applications.
User Interface Enhancements	Simplifies node views by allowing creation of custom views that can be shared with all or selected users. All access methods to the node are easily identified as interfaces of the target. Access methods include KVM, serial and secure methods such as VNC, RDP, SSH and power management through iLO/RiLOE/RiLOEII, Dell DRAC4, or IBM RSA II and Raritan compatible power strips.
Integration with IBM RSA II and Dell DRAC4	Supports power management for Dell and IBM servers with embedded management cards, via CC-SGs authentication, authorization and accounting.
Streamlined Raritan Device Firmware Upgrade Process	The feature is particularly a valuable in environments where a large number of Dominion devices are managed by CommandCenter in either a data canter or distributed environments. This feature is also very useful in data canter operating 24/7 and environments where infrastructure maintenance and infrastructure downtime need to be minimized and closely monitored. What is CommandCenter Secure Gateway (CC-SG)?

CommandCenter Secure Gateway (CC-SG) is a management appliance that provides unified, secure, browser or CLI-based access to the KVM, serial and power control devices in the data center and remote offices. CC-SG works with Raritan's Dominion Series, Paragon® II, IP-Reach®, Dominion PX intelligent power distribution units and CommandCenter NOC products to provide centralized policy and security management for user access to servers and devices. These applications include Raritan devices, embedded solutions like HP iLO/iLO2, Dell RAC4, IBM RSA, IPMI, and in-band software solutions such as RDP, VNC, SSH and web browser.

Why do I need CC-SG?

As the number of IT devices deployed in a single or multiple data centers grows, managing the devices becomes increasingly complex. With CC-SG, IT administrators can consolidate access, views and management of all equipment, users and access permissions from a single, remote device.

What Raritan products does CC-SG support?

CC-SG can manage Raritan's Dominion KX, KX II and KX II-101 KX II KVM-over-IP switches, Dominion SX Serial-over-IP console servers, Dominion KSX and KSX II remote office appliances and CommandCenter NOC. When deployed with the Paragon II System Controller (P2-SC), CC-SG supports access and control of multiple Paragon II switches. CC-SG also enables centralized remote power management by providing connectivity to Raritan’s Dominion PX, power management solutions.

How does CC-SG integrate with Raritan products?

CC-SG uses a powerful proprietary search and discovery technology that identifies and connects selected Raritan devices. Once CC-SG is connected and set up, device connection is transparent and administration is simple.

Does CC-SG support Virtual Media?

Yes. CC-SG supports Virtual Media Deny, View and Control access policies. Users can take advantage of CC-SG's Virtual Media capabilities by using a Dominion KX II that is managed by CC-SG. NOTE: To use Virtual Media on the Dominion KX II, a special Virtual Media Computer Interface Module (CIM) is required.

Is the status of CC-SG limited by the status of the devices that it proxies?

No. The CC-SG software resides on the dedicated appliance. This means that even if the device being proxied by CC-SG is not operating, you will still be able to access CC-SG.

Can I upgrade to newer versions of CC-SG as they become available?

Yes. CC-SG firmware can be downloaded from the Raritan Web site at http://www.raritan.com/support/firmwareupgrades/commandcentersecuregateway/. We also have trade up options where you can trade in your old CC-SG G1 for a newer model. Learn more about the trade in offer.

How many login accounts can be created for CC-SG?

There is no specific limit on the number of login accounts. However, based on the configuration, licensing restrictions or system specifications will limit the number of concurrent users or nodes associated with the CC-SG.
