Cat5 Reach is easy to install and easy to use. Each Cat5 Reach KVM Extender model is packaged as a kit that includes a transmitter and receiver pair for use with your Enhanced Cat5 UTP cable. Just plug a keyboard, video and mouse into the receiver and operate. Automatic Video Tuning (AVT) adjusts video quality automatically, so no manual adjustments are needed.

How can I get access to more servers if I have already connected computers to all my KVM switch channels? What is the distance between cascaded units? What will happen if I use more than 1,000 feet of Category 5 cable on my Cat5 Reach? I have some computers located more than 30 feet away from my KVM switch. Can I connect these computers to my KVM switch? I need to relocate one of the servers, but the current cable kit is not long enough. Is there any way to extend the distance? What will happen if I use more than 1,000 feet of Category 5 cable on my Cat5 Reach? The Cat5 Reach is designed to operate at maximum performance up to 1,000 feet. If you use a Cat5 cable longer than 1,000 feet, you may see a degradation of the video quality and/or a loss of keyboard or mouse operation. You will not harm the Cat5 Reach components with a longer cable. I have some computers located more than 30 feet away from my KVM switch. Can I connect these computers to my KVM switch? Yes.
