SOMERSET, N.J. (September 12, 2007) - Raritan today added an entry-level model to its network and systems monitoring virtual appliance product line – and the company is making the new model free to all businesses. The new CommandCenter™ NOC 25 (CC-NOC 25) can be downloaded free at www.commandcenter-noc.com.
From a single dashboard the solution provides an integrated toolset that helps companies detect, diagnose and fix IT problems faster and easier. A $1,500 value, the fully featured CommandCenter NOC 25 provides integrated IT health monitoring, security and asset management capabilities for environments with 35 devices – which can be a combination of servers and network devices (up to five each) and up to 25 workstations.
Designed for easy installation, the solution is agent-less, pre-built and pre-configured with the complete CC-NOC 6.0 feature set, database, operating system and Web server.
The solution leverages VMware, the industry’s leading virtualization technology, so that CC-NOC can run on standard hardware already in a customer’s environment -- thus simplifying or eliminating hardware procurement and deployment issues. Raritan, which is a VMware Select Partner, made the announcement at VMware World 2007 being held here this week. CC-NOC passed VMware’s stringent certification testing this month.
According to industry analyst firm Enterprise Management Associates (EMA), CommandCenter NOC is one of the first IT operations management systems with multiple cross-functional tools offered in a virtual appliance. “Raritan’s solution has a strong combination of IT monitoring tools, and is right sized for SMBs,” said EMA Vice President Dennis Drogseth. “The elegance of the solution is that each tool – ranging from asset discovery to intrusion deduction – complements and leverages each other, making the whole greater than the sum of its parts. With the new entry-level model available for free, it’s certainly worth taking the time to do an assessment.”
“Our free entry-level model will enable more companies to realize the benefits of CC-NOC’s rich feature set,” said James Cerwinski, Senior Product Manager at Raritan. “CC-NOC 25 is sized ideally for customers needing a solution to manage their most critical servers and devices, as well as equipment in branch offices. CC-NOC 25 also will be helpful to service providers serving small businesses because it provides a cost-effective method of monitoring IT environments on behalf of their customers.”
In addition to the free CC-NOC 25, Raritan offers four virtual appliance models that provide a seamless growth path: CC-NOC 50VA, CC-NOC 100VA, CC-NOC 250VA and CC-NOC500 VA. Pricing starts at $1,795.
